In an effort to give back to our community. We've decided to do a back to school drive to provide a resource closet at a local middle school and raffle off back packs filled with supplies at our back to school event.

As we prepare for our back to school event and to create a supply closet for Huntington middle school we've decided to update you on our efforts.

On Sep 2nd of 2018 BEE hosts its first annual Back to School Event at Achievable Dream Middle High School in Newport News. There will be free food, hair cuts, hair styling, activities and raffles.

On Sep 2nd of 2018 BEE hosted its first annual Back to School Event at Achievable Dream Middle High School in Newport News. 13 pair of shoes were raffled, 51 kids received hair cuts and styles, and two $50 visa gift cards were raffled.

In an effort to prepare our youth for college readiness early, BEE partner with a local elementary school to facilitate a college tour to 5th graders.

BEE provided local middle schoolers who excelled academically or achieved perfect attendance with a delightful treat. Students had the ability to choose from icees, funnel cakes, and fried Oreos.

Chicken Fajitas anyone? Participant were taught how to prepare a quick and easy dinner. This session went over cooking cleanliness, seasoning, nutritional facts, and procedure.

A goal without a plan is just a wish. Participants learned the art of road mapping, strategic planning, and anticipating resistance and how to combat it over dinner and sparkling cider.
